Harmony Day is the 21 March, a day of cultural respect for everyone who calls Australia home – from the traditional owners through to the people who have come from many countries around the world. By participating in Harmony Day activities, we can learn from, and celebrate the diverse backgrounds of all Australians.

One of the activities that is a focus of this year’s Harmony Day is the Taste of Harmony events, whereby workplace’s have been asked to celebrate cultural diversity by asking workmates to bring a plate of food to share.

CMCF is embracing this theme, but instead of having a workplace lunch, we would like to share with our friends and colleagues from multicultural organisations and across the community.

Come and share your traditional food to celebrate Harmony Day with CMCF!

When:  12.30pm on Saturday 22 March 2014

Where: Function Room, Theo Notaras Multicultural Centre, North Building, 180 London Circuit, CIVIC , ACT 2601

Cost: Free, if you bring a plate of food or drink from your culture, along with the recipe.

We request that you bring your recipes for two reasons, firstly, in case anyone has food allergies or dietary restrictions.  Secondly, we would love for you to share your wonderful cooking ideas and tips.

Don’t worry if you cannot cook. Please bring in a drink or even a bag of savoury or sweet goodies to share.
