The speaker, Brian Thomas, will cover
- Savings through owning your own home
- Savings through superannuation
- General savings – how to save and why
If there is time, the following could also be discussed – our relationship to money, retail therapy and savings tips
Brian Thomas qualified as an accountant in 1964. He is a Fellow of CPA Australia and has retired from the full time workforce. In his work life he has been accountant and a chief financial officer in several government and not for profit organisations, including the Official Receiver in Bankruptcy, The College of Law and the Law Society of New South Wales. He has a keen personal interest in financial literacy and the need for everyone to have a basic understanding of financial matters.”
