The National Ethnic Disability Alliance (NEDA) is the national peak organisation representing the rights and interests of people from non-English speaking background (NESB) and/or culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds (CaLD) with disability, their families and carers throughout Australia.

More than 1 million people with disability are from NESB and/or CaLD communities, and NEDA believes that there is a need for a strong commitment to strategies and best practice in Disability Employment Services (DES) to respond to the complex needs of the NESB/CaLD population with disabilities and the barriers they face in entering the labour force market.

As part of a project under the Department of Social Services, NEDA is conducting a series of consumer-led focus groups across Australia. The date for the Canberra group is Tuesday 25 March, 10.30am-1pm.  Morning tea is provided, and participants will receive a $20 gift voucher as a token of appreciation for their attendance.
