“Registration is now open for a major conference on the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in Canberra.

The conference, on 23-24 March 2015 at the National Convention Centre, is for ACT frontline disability support workers, people with disability, their families and carers.  This includes people from the diverse cultural and linguistic communities in the ACT.

You can’t afford to miss out – the NDIS is here!

The Conference will give attendees a current and clear understanding of the nature and pace of the NDIS and what it is bringing to people in the ACT.  Attendees will hear at first-hand from people with disability, families and workers who have been experiencing the changes, challenges and choices in the ACT trial site and beyond. There will be an opportunity to engage with and ask questions of NDIS experts, the senior leaders of the National Disability Insurance Agency and the ACT Government.

The program includes workshops providing practical information, tools and resources to put into practice immediately. This conference, which is supported by the Commonwealth and ACT Government’s Sector Development Fund, will help you to get the best out of the NDIS.
